A huge boost for the Dolphins with gun middle forward Max Plath slotting in at lock after a lengthy injury layoff.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined due to a foot injury but has been named in the run-on side while Jeremy Marshall-King also returns from a leg laceration.

Meanwhile, Kristian Woolf will be without barnstorming middle Ray Stone who has been rested to recover from a shoulder injury he’s been playing with in recent weeks.

Prior to his injury, Plath was staking his claim to make his Origin debut in Billy Slater’s Maroons side, but he’s unlikely to take place in Game II after his period sidelined.

After losing their first four games, the NRL newcomers now sit in 11th, only two points behind their opponents on Friday night in the Dragons.

Shane Flanagan’s outfit has also had some changes, with Tyrell Sloan dropped for rugby convert Nathan Lawson, while Christian Tuipulotu takes up his place on the wing.
