Blues enforcer Spencer Leniu’s huge collision with Maroons prop and Roosters teammate Lindsay Collins has drawn a stunned reaction from commentators.
Leniu met Collins with full force as he returned the ball from a kick-off late in the first half in game two on Wednesday night in Perth.

“Oh, there he is! Coming out to meet Collins, Rooster on Rooster! Mate against mate, now it’s state versus state!” Warren Smith said on the match call.
Queensland great Cooper Cronk added: “Oh my goodness! That is heavy contact, that is what Origin is built on. That is terrifyingly good.”
Smith added: “It was terrifyingly close to the chin, too, of Lindsay Collins.”
Former NSW hooker Michael Ennis also said: “Spencer Leniu inspiring his teammates.”
Channel 9’s commentators were equally as shocked.
“What was that?” Blues legend Andrew Johns asked.
Maroons great Cameron Smith praised Collins for his courage.
“He threw everything at him, Spencer Leniu,” Smith said.
“Just have a look at this.
“Lindsay Collins though, that’s a brave run. That’s what Origin’s all about.”
Caller Mat Thompson was in disbelief.
“Oh, Spencer came after Collins!” Thompson shouted.
“Optus Stadium just shook!”

Journalist Adam Pengilly wondered how the pair would greet one another when they rejoin Roosters camp.
“Can you imagine what he says to Spencer Leniu when they meet in the halls of Roosters HQ later this week? Produced an Origin moment to be used in promos forever more colliding with his clubmate,” Pengilly wrote.
The Maroons won 26-24 to send the series to a decider in Sydney next month.
