State of Origin team selection is just around the corner and both Laurie Daley and Billy Slater have a huge job on their hands at the end of Round 11.
So here, a host of NSW legends (and an English icon) take a stab at naming their Blues sides ahead of the series opener.
Mick Ennis, Bryan Fletcher, Greg Alexander, Benny Elias, Geoff Toovey and James Graham have revealed who they would pick to take the field at Suncorp Stadium in Game I.

Comment: Last year’s team won a decider at Suncorp in what was one of the best Origin games in history. I’ve gone with 13 of that Game III side. The 4 players that weren’t there: Nathan Cleary an automatic selection, Latrell Mitchell great in Game II then injured, Hudson Young in career best form and Keaon Koloamatangi’s first game in middle last week, 73 minutes, 24 runs, 220m and 37 tackles with only 1 miss. He’s ready.

Comment: I am going to make it really easy. This is the same side that won the game last series in Game II. Isaah Yeo comes in for Cameron Murray and Hudson Young joins the bench. Latrell Mitchell also replaces the injured Bradman Best. If it’s not broken why fix it?

Comment: I like a chance, we’re NSW we change a lot. Mine is pretty steady and I think James Tedesco is a must at fullback. Api Koroisau provides an alternative option in attack and I think he could be the difference.
